Volunteer Coordinator

The Volunteer Coordinator is a member of Management and leads our volunteer program. You'll report directly to the Board, recruit and organize Volunteers, and make sure every volunteer has a meaningful and well-run experience with us.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the volunteer program and set its goals alongside the Board
• Recruit Volunteers through outreach, events, and community partnerships
• Schedule Volunteers for shifts, projects, and events
• Orient and train new Volunteers alongside Human Resources
• Coordinate with the Nursery Manager and Nursery Foreman on where Volunteers are needed
• Keep volunteer hours and participation up to date
• Serve as the main point of contact for Volunteer questions and concerns
• Plan and run volunteer days, community outreach, and educational events
• Attend staff meetings and report on the volunteer program to the Board

• Strong communication and scheduling skills
• Able to motivate others and build a positive team environment
• A genuine commitment to conservation, agriculture, or community work
• Prior volunteer management, event planning, or outreach experience preferred

Compensation

• $10,000 per shift, meeting, or event
• Weekly maximum of $30,000

Requirements

• This position is full time, you'll be working forty (40) hours a week. ((See below for OOC requirements.))
• Background check consent is a requirement.
• Felons are encouraged to apply should their hopes be to have us assist them with their expungement. Paid positions have a higher level of scrutiny, so your application being accepted is not guaranteed.

(( OOC Requirements ))

• (( Paid positions are "full time", however that doesn't mean we expect you to play 40 hours or exclusively with us. We'd like to see you do at least two-three applications and one event per month at minimum. ))
• (( If you're in a management or supervisory position, you're expected to assist/run one event per month. ))
• (( We encourage all applicants to apply regardless of knowledge level or research into the topic of roleplay. We will help train you! ))
